शुभ दीपावली का पर्व

 दीपोत्‍सव यानी दीपावली पर्व मनाने के लिए लोगों की तैयारियां अंतिम चरण में हैं। धनतेरस के साथ दीपोत्‍सव की शुरुआत मानी जाती है और यह पर्व भैया दूज के साथ पूरा होता है। दरअसल, यह पर्व कई पर्वों का समूह भी है। दीपावली को लेकर कई कथाएं प्रचलित हैं। कहा जाता है कि पृथ्‍वी पर सबसे पहले दीपावली की शुरुआत एक किसान ने आसो अमावस्‍या के दिन की थी। हालांकि दीपावली कब और किसने मनाई इसको लेकर लोगों के अलग अलग दावे हैं और अलग अलग कहानियां हैं।हिंदू मान्‍यताओं के अनुसार ऐसी कथा भी प्रचलित है कि समुद्र मंथन के बाद धन और संपदा की देवी लक्ष्‍मी और भगवान विष्‍णु बैकुंठ चले गए। कुछ समय पश्‍चात भगवान विष्‍णु ने पृथ्‍वी भ्रमण के विचार से बैकुंठ निकले तो देवी लक्ष्‍मी ने भी साथ में जाने की इच्‍छा जाहिर की। जिद करने पर भगवान विष्‍णु उन्‍हें लेकर पृथ्‍वी भ्रमण पर निकले। भ्रमण के दौरान भगवान विष्‍णु ने दक्षिण दिशा में भ्रमण की बात कहते हुए देवी लक्ष्‍मी को एक जगह रुकने को कहा। विष्‍णु ने देवी लक्ष्‍मी को उस जगह से कहीं और नहीं जाने और खुद के शीघ्र लौटने का आश्‍वासन दिया।देवी लक्ष्‍मी पृथ्‍वी पर मौजूद खेतों में लहलहाती फसल देखकर खुद को रोक नहीं सकीं और एक सरसों के खेत में चली गईं। उन्‍होंने सरसों के पीले फूल से अपना श्रंगार किया और आगे बढ़ गईं। इस बीच वह गन्‍ने के खेत पहुंचीं तो उन्‍होंने गन्‍ने को चखकर देखा स्‍वादिष्‍ट होने पर उन्‍होंने गन्‍ना खा लिया। भगवान विष्‍णु जब लौटे तो वह निश्‍चित जगह की बजाय किसान के खेत में भ्रमण करते मिलीं। नाराज भगवान विष्‍णु ने देवी लक्ष्‍मी से कहा कि आपने चोरी करके किसान की फसल खाई आपको इसका दंड मिलेगा और दंड स्‍वरूप कुछ समय के लिए आप इस किसान के घर पर रहेंगीं। समय खत्‍म होने पर आकर मैं तुम्‍हें ले जाउंगा और विष्‍णु अकेले बैकुंठ प्रस्‍थान कर गए¡किसान के विलाप पर देवी ने दिया प्रतिवर्ष आने का वरदान समय खत्‍म होने पर भगवान विष्‍णु लौटे और देवी लक्ष्‍मी को साथ चलने को कहा। देवी लक्ष्‍मी को जाता देख किसान व्‍याकुल हो गया और विलाप करने लगा। किसान के विलाप से दुखी देवी लक्ष्‍मी ने उसे आश्‍वासन दिया कि वह किसान के घर में एक कलश में मौजूद रहेंगी और किसान को उस कलश की पूजा करनी होगी। देवी ने किसान को वरदान दिया कि वह प्रतिवर्ष इसी दिन यानी आसो अमावस्‍या को सशरीर उसके घर पधारेंगी। देवी से संपन्‍नता और वैभव का आशीर्वाद पाकर किसान मान गया और देवी लक्ष्‍मी भगवान विष्‍णु के साथ बैकुंठ चली गईं। अगले वर्ष आसो अमावस्‍या को किसान ने देवी लक्ष्‍मी के आगमन पर घर को खूब सजाया और दीपों से धरती को रोशन कर दिया। कहा जाता है कि यहीं से दीपावली मनाए जाने की शुरुआत हुई। इसके बाद प्रतिवर्ष लोग  आसो अमावस्‍या के दिन देवी लक्ष्‍मी को अपने घर बुलाते हैं और उनके स्‍वागत के लिए दीप जलाते हैं¡

People's preparations are in the final stages for celebrating Deepotsav i.e. Diwali festival.  Diwali is considered to be the beginning of Dhanteras and the festival ends with Bhaiya Dooj.  Actually, this festival is also a group of many festivals.  There are many legends about Diwali.  It is said that the first Diwali on earth was started by a farmer on the day of Asho Amavasya.  However, people have different claims and different stories about when and who celebrated Deepawali. According to Hindu beliefs, such a story is also prevalent that after churning the ocean, Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Vishnu went to Baikunth after churning the ocean.  After some time Lord Vishnu came out of Baikunth with the idea of ​​traveling the earth, then Goddess Lakshmi also expressed her desire to go along.  On insisting, Lord Vishnu took them on a tour of the earth.  During the tour, Lord Vishnu asked Goddess Lakshmi to stay at one place while talking about traveling in the south direction.  Vishnu assured Goddess Lakshmi not to go anywhere else from that place and to return soon. Goddess Lakshmi could not stop herself seeing the bountiful crops in the fields on the earth and went to a mustard field.  She adorned herself with a yellow mustard flower and went ahead.  Meanwhile, when she reached the sugarcane field, she tasted the sugarcane and saw that when it was delicious, she ate sugarcane.  When Lord Vishnu returned, he was found visiting the farmer's field instead of the fixed place.  Angry Lord Vishnu told Goddess Lakshmi that you ate the farmer's crop by stealing, you will be punished for it and as a punishment you will stay at this farmer's house for some time.  When the time is over, I will take you and Vishnu left for Baikunth alone. On the lament of the farmer, the goddess gave a boon to come every year.  Seeing Goddess Lakshmi leaving, the farmer became distraught and started lamenting.  Saddened by the farmer's lament, Goddess Lakshmi assured him that she would be present in an urn in the farmer's house and that the farmer would have to worship that urn.  The goddess granted a boon to the farmer that every year on this day i.e. Asho Amavasya, she would physically visit his house.  After receiving the blessings of the Goddess's prosperity and splendor, the farmer agreed and Goddess Lakshmi went to Baikunth with Lord Vishnu.  The next year, on Asho Amavasya, on the arrival of Goddess Lakshmi, the farmer decorated the house and illuminated the earth with lamps.  It is said that the celebration of Diwali started from here.  After this, every year on the day of Asho Amavasya, people invite Goddess Lakshmi to their home and light a lamp to welcome her.
