 The Germans, standing on their balconies, in their homes and on the grounds, gave him a standing ovation with applause for six minutes.  The whole of Germany said goodbye to this lazy leader.  Angela Merkel became Chancellor of Germany on November 9, 2006 and resigned on December 9, 2021.

 Prior to that, she served as Leader of the Opposition in Germany from 2006 to 2007, and from 2000 to 2013, she was the Leader of the Christian Democratic Union Party of Germany.  This first Chancellor of Germany was in fact the most dominant European country in the European Union and was considered the most powerful woman in the world.  In 2013, he announced his resignation from the party at a party convention, adding that he would not run for a fifth term in the 2021 federal election.

 Chemical physicist Angela Merkel earned her doctorate by writing a thesis on the subject of quantum chemistry.  Despite such power and dominance, there was not the slightest hint of any kind of clothing or other fashion.  He had no ambitions for fame and did not buy any land during his tenure nor did he procure private jets, yachts or motors.  During his eighteen years in office, he never changed his wardrobe.

 At another press conference, he was asked, "Is there a servant in your house who will clean your house, prepare food for you, and take care of everything else in the house?"

 Angela Merkel then replied, 'No, I don't have any servants there and I don't even need them.  My husband and I do housework every day. '

 Upon hearing this, a reporter asked her, 'Then who is washing your clothes there, you or your husband?'
