Dow closed 0.43% lower, S&P lost 0.21%, Nasdaq closed 0.25% higher reversing almost 1.50% intraday gains.
USD index moved higher near 114.20, 10 year also moved higher near 3.95%, cboe vix closed at 32.60.
Crude futures also inched up, WTI moved near 78, Brent near 86.
Indian stocks turned volatile as stocks traded mixed and indices moved in and out of flat line throughout the day. Banks, Autos, Metal names lost ground but on the flip side IT, Pharma and Oil and Gas names moved higher, towards the close indices traded near flat zone.
*Global sentiments, September series expiry related volatility and countdown to RBI policy may dominate trade for next couple of days. Participants may continue to look for quick trading opportunities in individual names as stocks specific trends may differ from overall markets. Investors may continue to watch for long term entry points to rebuild portfolios*
